Contribute to DEFRA's consultation on reducing personal water use

The clock is ticking for the public to respond to Defra’s consultation and evidence gathering on measures to reduce personal water use. Anyone with an interest in measures for reducing personal water consumption is encouraged to complete DEFRA's online survey before the 11th October 2019 deadline.

The Government Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) is only weeks from closing the online survey containing a consultation on methods we can use to reduce personal water use and its evidence-gathering for what our personal consumption target could be.

This consultation will shape the action that the UK government will make in England to help reduce personal water consumption as it seeks views on tougher thresholds in building regulations, metering, rainwater harvesting and behaviour change.

This public consultation and call for evidence is running until 11 October 2019 and is open to anyone with an interest in providing comments.

Please visit to access the online survey.
